Walsh: Al Ferof is value in Racing Post Arkle
PUNTERS shouldtake advantage of Paddy Power's money-back offer in the Racing Post Arkle by backing Al Ferof, according to the seven-year-old's rider Ruby Walsh.
The Irish firm, renowned for eyecatching concessions on the opening day of the Cheltenham Festival, will refund all losing wagers in the race up to a maximum of £100/€100 if hot-favourite Sprinter Sacre wins. They estimate the offer could cost them £2 million.
Paddy Power price the Nicky Henderson-trained Sprinter Sacre at 5-4, while offering 5-1 about Al Ferof, who emerged on top when the pair met in the Supreme Novices' Hurdle 12 months ago.
Tweeting on Tuesday morning, Walsh, the winningmost rider in festival history, posted: "Get on al ferof in arkle with paddy powers, money back if sprinter sacre wins up to a 100€/£. Has to be value."
Paddy Power offered similar concessions on Supreme Novices' hotpots Cue Card, Dunguib and Cousin Vinny in the past three years and all three were beaten.
