Foxhunter Chase aim for long-absent Galant Nuit
GALANT NUIT is being aimed at next year's Christie's Foxhunter Chase at the Cheltenham Festival, trainer Ferdy Murphy has revealed.
The eight-year-old, who has been off the track for more than a year, landed a Grade 3 at the track in 2009 and Murphy, quoted in Tuesday's Racing & Football Outlook, said he looks the ideal candidate for this season's Foxhunter.
Murphy said: "He'll have his first run in a point-to-point in about three weeks and his main aim will be the Foxhunter at the Cheltenham Festival.
"He won what is now called the Henrietta Knight race at Cheltenham in 2009, beating Don't Push It and he clearly likes it there.
"He'll be the ideal type for the race and is going really well at the moment."
